The Compagnons du Devoir, one of the oldest French journeymen's associations, is offering German school-leavers training places in France in 1999 too. The main area of training which can last up to three years, is the building crafts sector. The final certificates are also recognized in Germany. Applications can be submitted by school-leavers who are 16 to 19 years old and have knowledge of French.
