The Right to Educational Leave Act. Today there are a lot of collective agreements concerning in-company education and training. In individual cases employers are free to support anyone wanting to study outside work.

According to the Right to Educational Leave Act, you are free to study what and where you want.
Training Providers
All sorts of training providers, for example, private educational providers, consultants, universities, municipality schools, etc.

Studies both within the official or unofficial system. The education and training are free of charge or have a fee.
Target group(s)
Every employee
Eligibility criteria
Participants must have been employed for the last six month or at least for a total of 12 months in the last two years by the employer in question. It is up to the employer to accept shorter employment time.
Stipulations for participants
You are free to study what you want and for as long as you want, if you just follow a curriculum.
Duration of training
There is no restriction on the length of the studies.
Status of participants
During study leave, employees retain there existing contractual status including rights and obligations. Sometimes participants keep there holiday payment.
Application procedure
If the employee wants to take leave within 6 month of making an application, there must be an acceptance from the employer. After six month, the employee is free to study whatever s/he wants and for as long as desired.
Regulation, control and monitoring procedures
It is up to the employer to control if the employee really undertakes study. If s/he does not s/he can lose her/his job.
